President Trump’s recent executive orders barring transgender individuals from competing in women’s sports and restricting their access to the military aren’t about hate, discrimination, or exclusion—they’re about fairness, reality, and national security. These policies reaffirm something that an overwhelming majority of Americans—regardless of political affiliation—already understand: biological differences matter.
Despite what the radical left would have you believe, this isn’t about persecuting anyone. It’s about protecting women, ensuring a level playing field in athletics, and maintaining a strong and prepared military. And frankly, it’s about time we had leadership willing to stand up for truth instead of bowing to an increasingly delusional and destructive ideology.
Let’s break it down.
The Fight for Women’s Sports: Protecting Female Athletes from an Unfair Playing Field
The left is great at twisting language. They frame this debate as one of “inclusion” and “tolerance,” but what about fairness? What about the countless young women who have trained for years, only to see their scholarships, championships, and opportunities stolen by biological men who claim to be women?
Reality check: If men competing in women’s sports weren’t an issue, we wouldn’t be talking about it.
The reason this is a problem is because it is already happening. We’ve seen biological males, after just a few months of testosterone suppression, dominate female athletes who have trained their entire lives. Here are just a few examples:
- Lia Thomas—a mediocre male swimmer who ranked 462nd competing against men but suddenly became a NCAA champion when he switched to competing against women.
- CeCe Telfer—a biological male who couldn’t make it in men’s track but easily won an NCAA title in the women’s 400-meter hurdles.
- Hannah Mouncey—a former mediocre male Australian handball player who switched to the women’s league and became dominant.
These aren’t isolated incidents. It’s happening at every level, and if we don’t draw a line, women’s sports will cease to exist.
Why This Is About More Than Strength and Testosterone
Some argue that if transgender athletes take hormone suppressants, it levels the playing field. That’s nonsense. A male who transitions after puberty retains permanent biological advantages over women, no matter how many hormones they take. These include:
- Greater lung capacity (more oxygen means better endurance)
- Denser bones (stronger frame, less risk of fractures)
- Larger heart and greater circulation capacity (more efficient blood flow)
- More muscle mass and fast-twitch muscle fibers (faster reaction time and greater explosive power)
No amount of hormone therapy will erase these advantages. That’s why, when biological men are allowed to compete against women, they dominate.
This isn’t just unfair—it’s dangerous. Women have been physically injured competing against transgender athletes. Girls have been concussed in contact sports, and female weightlifters and wrestlers have lost to stronger male-bodied athletes.
So, where is the concern for them? Where are the feminists fighting for women who are being forced to compete against men? The truth is, modern feminism has abandoned real women in favor of ideological purity.
Thankfully, President Trump understands that women’s sports exist for women—not for men who decide one day that they “feel” like a woman. His executive order ensures that biological reality wins over gender ideology.
A Simple Solution: The Creation of Open or Nonbinary Leagues
If inclusion is truly the goal, then here’s an easy compromise: create an open or nonbinary league where anyone—male, female, or those who claim to be somewhere in between—can compete.
- Men who want to compete against men? Join a men’s league.
- Women who want to compete against women? Join a women’s league.
- Transgender individuals who want to compete? Join a nonbinary league where biological males and females compete together.
This would allow transgender athletes to participate without stealing opportunities from women. It protects everyone’s rights without forcing an entire gender to suffer because of ideological nonsense.
The Military: A Fighting Force, Not a Social Experiment
The military exists for one reason: to defend the United States of America. It is not a therapy session. It is not a place for social experiments. It is not a diversity and inclusion seminar. The only thing that matters is readiness.
The left loves to claim that transgender people have “served with honor” in the military, but that’s not the issue. The real question is:
Does allowing transgender individuals into the military make our armed forces stronger, more effective, and more prepared for combat?
The answer is no. And here’s why.
1. Mental Health and Military Readiness
The military has strict physical and psychological requirements for a reason. We already disqualify people with:
- Severe depression
- Anxiety disorders
- Bipolar disorder
- Schizophrenia
- PTSD
Yet transgender individuals have far higher rates of mental health struggles than the general population. Studies show that:
- 40% of transgender individuals have attempted suicide (compared to 4.6% of the general population)
- High rates of depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation are common
- Gender dysphoria is itself a recognized medical condition requiring long-term treatment
This is not discrimination. The military already rejects people who suffer from conditions that could compromise their ability to perform under pressure.
2. Medical Costs and Deployability
Transgender soldiers require ongoing lifelong medical treatments, including:
- Hormone therapy
- Surgeries (some of which require months of recovery)
- Psychological counseling
These treatments limit a soldier’s ability to deploy—which means they become a burden rather than an asset. A soldier who needs frequent medical treatments is not combat-ready.
The military also spends millions of taxpayer dollars covering transgender-related healthcare costs. Every dollar spent on hormone therapy and surgery is a dollar not spent on better weapons, better training, or better equipment for our troops.
3. Unit Cohesion and Combat Effectiveness
In combat, soldiers need to trust each other with their lives. Anything that creates division, confusion, or distraction is a threat to unit cohesion.
Historically, the military has been extremely selective about who it allows in—not because of bigotry, but because of necessity. We don’t let people with chronic illnesses join. We don’t let people with flat feet join. We don’t let people with asthma join.
Why? Because the military has one job: winning wars.
Trump’s Policies Are a Win for Women, a Win for Readiness, and a Win for Common Sense
President Trump’s executive orders aren’t about hate or discrimination. They’re about reality.
- Women’s sports should be for women.
- The military should be for the strongest, healthiest, most capable individuals.
- National policy should be rooted in truth, not ideology.
These are not controversial ideas. They are backed by science, common sense, and the overwhelming opinion of the American people.
The radical left may scream about “trans rights,” but when those so-called “rights” come at the expense of fairness, safety, and national security, the answer should be a resounding no.
Trump made the right call. Let’s hope these policies stand for generations to come.
